Barry-Wehmiller Cos. chief to speak

EVANSVILLE Bob Chapman, chairman and chief executive officer of Barry-Wehmiller Cos. Inc., headquartered in St. Louis, will address a seminar on his company’s vision of “People-Centric Leadership” April 27 at the Southern Indiana Career & Technical Center, 1901 Lynch Road.

The seminar, titled the “People-Purpose-Performance: A Lean Story of Cultural and Operational Transformation,” is scheduled from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m.

It will be provided by the Tri-State Manufacturers Alliance in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce of Southwest Indiana and BKD, LLP.

Barry-Wehmiller is a $1.2 billion global supplier of engineering consulting and manufacturing technology solutions to a variety of industries.

Shop floor leaders to CEOs are encouraged to attend the seminar, which will focus on how Barry-Wehmiller used the principles and systems of LEAN to transform its culture and become a leader in operational effectiveness and added value.
