Choosing the wrong business vendor will haunt your business for life.

Do you know what you can do to harm your business? Try to partner with scammers and underperformers.

Small business owners are known to wear many hats – Business planning, financial management, employee management, etc. They are proficient in juggling with many different things. Choosing vendors or suppliers are one of them.

Unfortunately, many small business owners don’t place choosing a vendor or supplier as their top priorities. This will result in one thing: bad business relationship that could take years to recover.

Vendors who don’t require a long term contract, could ‘only’ lose you money. However, some vendors are requiring a longer term of contract in which bailing out will lose your money, and more – e.g. lawsuit

Oil creeping back toward $80

NEW YORK (Reuters) — Oil prices rose Monday as strong manufacturing data from the United States and China stoked optimism for a turnaround in the economy and in fuel demand.

U.S. crude rose $1.13 to settle at $78.13 a barrel, after dropping $2.87 Friday.

The U.S. manufacturing sector grew in October for the third consecutive month and at a faster rate than was expected, according to an industry report released Monday.

Further support came from data showing pending sales of previously owned U.S. homes unexpectedly rose in September to their highest level in nearly three years ahead of the expiration of a popular tax credit for first-time buyers.

Ford Posts Surprise Profit

Automaker continues to pull away from rivals GM and Chrysler.

DETROIT — Ford posted a quarterly profit on Monday, defying Wall Street forecasts for a loss as it cut costs and gained market share, leading it to raise its 2011 outlook to “solidly profitable” from break-even.

Ford’s shares surged over 9% as the surprising profit and increased outlook overshadowed an expected announcement later Monday that the United Auto Workers union has rejected a tentative cost-cutting deal with the automaker.

The results provided more evidence that Ford has distanced itself from U.S.
